We have received an update regarding the Community Matters fund.
Funding for community projects
Community Matters, an innovative new project which will put power and money into the hands of communities, has been launched in Clackmannanshire.
The project will make £100,000 available for community-based activities of which a minimum of £20,000 will be available to Alva.
Look out for your chance to help make the decisions on how funding is allocated to activities which address the priorities of this area in January! Meantime, the grant application stage is open until the 31st December. Applications should be community-based activities and projects which address community priorities under two categories:
- reducing inequality for those at greater disadvantage
- community environmental and social projects
There is no idea which is too simple or too small for this funding! If you have an idea, then put your application in. An application form and more information are available from ClacksWeb.
Community Matters is funded by Clackmannanshire Council and the Scottish Government’s Community Choices Fund.
