Monday 27 October, 7 – 9pm.
Alva Community Access Point, Stirling Street, Alva
A sub-committee of Alva Community Council will facilitate a Community Action Plan to create a vision for the future of Alva and to establish the priorities and aspirations of the community. This will involve engagement with other groups in the town, convening a Steering Group to agree strategies, objectives, secure funding and support for projects and facilities.
When complete the Community Action Plan will be given to Clackmannanshire Council who have recently upgraded Sauchie town centre and are now moving onto Tullibody.
Alva could also benefit from the ‘Village and Small Town Centres Initiative’ but is more likely to be considered if the priorities and aspirations of the community are established.
Lesley Baillie, Community Planning Policy Officer, Clackmannanshire Council has agreed to lead a meeting in Alva Community Access Point, 7 – 9 pm, Monday 27 October 2014. Lesley will explain how Clackmannanshire Council can and can’t help with the Community Action Plan.
The Community Council would like to invite members of the community & representatives of groups to attend and become involved in this project from the outset.
