To keep everyone safe due to the ongoing pandemic Alva Community Council (Alva CC) are returning to online meetings using zoom until further notice.

Members of the Alva community are most welcome at all meetings and can request to join a meeting by emailing info@alvacommunitycouncil.org.uk

Please make your request to join the meeting TWO clear days prior to the meeting date.

Elected Clackmannanshire Councillors, Police Representatives & subgroups will be sent a link by email, to Alva CC meetings automatically.

Changes to waste collection over the festive period

Bin collections
There are no changes to the usual bin collection schedule over Christmas and New Year.

Forthbank Recycling Centre
We expect Forthbank to be extremely busy between Tuesday 28th December and Friday 31st December. Some Covid-19 restrictions remain in place and there may be lengthy waiting times.

Depending on demand, times for last entry may be brought forward on any of the days listed below.

Christmas trees can be taken to Forthbank.

Please don’t save your cardboard until after the holidays if you can dispose of it early. Remove all polystyrene and other packaging from the cardboard and pack it flat before disposal.

Remember that shiny wrapping paper cannot be recycled and can only go to landfill.
