Consultation on Free Bus Travel for Older and Disabled People and Modern Apprentices

You are invited to take part in a Consultation on Free Bus Travel for Older and Disabled People and Modern Apprentices
Why We Are Consulting?

The Scottish Government is launching this Consultation to seek your views on the concessionary travel scheme for older and disabled people (“the Scheme”).

This popular and valued scheme improves access for older and disabled people to essential services and opens up participation in family and other social activities that would otherwise not be affordable, ultimately offering independence to people who rely on bus travel.

To take part in the consultation and find out more about it please visit the Scot Gov website here >>

Volunteering Opportunities In Alva

The conservation volunteers (TCV) are a conservation charity looking for volunteers in Alva as part of a wider project in Clackmannanshire in partnership with Enabling Partnerships in Clackmannanshire (EPIC).

We are a conservation charity that operates out of Stirling helping with restoring green spaces.  Much of the work we carry out has a direct and lasting environmental impact in the communities where we work.  These groups help people: Get experience in practical conservation,  be active outside and  meet new like minded people

Absolutely no prior knowledge is necessary.  Everyone will be learning together.

This volunteer group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-3.  We can also provide travel expenses and kit.

If people would like to register they would contact my
email : d.walsh@tcv.org.uk or phone me on my mobile: 07767112094
